Essential oil of Micromeria fruticosa (L.) Druce subsp. barbata (Boiss & Kotschy) P. H. Davis of Turkish origin
(1993)
The essential oil of Mecromeria fruticosa subsp. barbata of Turkish origin was studied by GC and GC/MS. Thirty-six compounds were identified with pulegone (81.29%) being in most abundance.
Supercritical CO2 extraction of volatile components from leaves of Laurus nobilis L.
(Akademiya Nauk Uzbekskoi Ssr, 1998)
Comparative investigation of the chemical compositions of volatile components from leaves of Laurus nobilis obtained by the supercritical CO2 extraction and the hydro- and seam distillation was carried out.
In the present work, Microsteam distillation - Solid phase microextraction (MSD-SPME) and hydrodistillation (HD) techniques were applied to obtain volatiles from Achillea sivasica, an endemic species from Turkey. GC-FID and GC/MS analysis revealed that 1,8-cineole (22.1%) and ?-pinene (9.3%) were the main constituents of the hydrodistilled flower volatiles. (Z)-?-Farnesene (23.9%), decanoic acid (10.1%), ??eudesmol (8.0%), tricosane (7.3%) and hexadecanoic acid (7.2%) were the main volatiles obtained from flowers by MSDSPME. The leaf volatiles obtained by HD contained camphor (9.0%), ?-pinene (6.9%), 1,8-cineole (6.7%), ?-pinene (6.7%) and??-bisabolol (6.6%) as the main constituents while the leaf volatiles obtained by MSD-SPME technique were rich in (E)-geranyl acetone (10.5%), (E)-?-ionone (10.3%), camphor (10.2%), 1,8-cineole (9.6%), longiverbenone (7.9%), ?-eudesmol (7.5%), isopropyl myristate (6.7%) and epi-?-bisabolol (6.4%). The root volatiles were rich in longiverbeno

Composition of the essential oil of Glaucosciadium cordifolium (Boiss.) Burtt et Davis from Turkey
(John Wiley & Sons LTD, 2000)
The water-distilled essential oil from dried herbal parts of Glaucosciadium cordifolium was analysed by GC MS. One hundred and seven components, representing 97.7% of the oil, were characterized. The major components were ...
Betulenols from Betula species
(Georg Thieme Verlag, 2000)
The essential oils from buds of five Betula species growing in Turkey were investigated by CC-MS. A major component in the essential oils was shown to be 14-hydroxy-beta-caryophyllene (6). The structure of beta-betulenal ...
