Composition of the essential oil of Ocimum basilicum L. Cultivated in Turkey
Abstract
Water and steam distilled essential oils obtained from Ocimum hasilicum L. cultivated in Turkey were examined by GC and GC/MS. Sixty compounds representing 90% of the oils were identified. Linalool, (E)-methyl cinnamate and 1, 8-cineole were the major constituents in both oils
