| dc.description.abstract | Some 1- and 2-(aryl)substituted 4,5-bis (4-methoxyphenyl) imidazole compounds and 2-(aryl) substituted 4,5-bis (4-methoxyphenyl) imidazole compounds were obtained by reacting anisil with some aldehyde derivatives in the presence of ammonium acetate. 1-Ethyl-2-(aryl) substituted 4,5-bis (4-methoxyphenyl) imidazole compounds were obtained by reacting 2-(aryl) substituted 4,5-bis (4-methoxyphenyl) imidazole derivatives with ethyl iodide in tetrahydrofuran (THF) in the presence of NaH. The structure elucidation of the compounds were achieved by using spectral data and elemental analyses results. | en_US |
