Küresellesmenin Türkiye’deki ilkögretim sosyal bilgiler ögretim programı ve ders kitaplarında görülen yansımaları

Abstract

Bu arastırmanın amacı, Türkiye’de 1998-2004 yılları arasında ilkögretim okullarında 4.-7. sınıflarda uygulanan sosyal bilgiler programı ile 2005-2006 ögretim yılından itibaren uygulanmaya baslanan yeni ilkögretim sosyal bilgiler programını “küresellesme” baglamında karsılastırmaktır. Çalısmada, her iki sosyal bilgiler programı ile bu programlara iliskin olarak Milli Egitim Bakanlıgı tarafından basılan ders kitapları incelenmistir. Çalısma, nitel arastırma yöntemlerinden “doküman analizi” kullanılarak gerçeklestirilmistir. Arastırmanın güvenirligini saglamak amacıyla alan uzmanının görüslerinden de yararlanılmıstır. Arastırma sonuçlarına göre; 2005 sosyal bilgiler programında, 1998 programına göre “küresellesme” kavramına daha çok yer verildigi görülmüstür. Her iki sosyal bilgiler programına iliskin ders kitapları incelendiginde de; 1998 programa iliskin ders kitaplarında küresellesme ile oldugu düsünülen konuların farklı baslıklar altında bulundugu, 2005 programına iliskin ders kitaplarında ise konuların küresellesmeye odaklanan bagımsız birer ünite içerisinde yer aldıgı ve ders kitaplarında küresellesmeye iliskin birçok etkinligin bulundugu görülmüstür. Sonuç olarak; yeni ilkögretim sosyal bilgiler programında küresellesme kavramı 1998 programına göre amaç/kazanım, içerik ve etkinlikler boyutunda daha çok yer almaktadır.

This study aims to compare the new primary school social study programs relaeased in academic year 2005/2006 to the program applied at schools between the years 1998 and 2004 in terms of globalization. In this study, both the Social Studies programs and textbooks published by the Ministry of Education related to the programs were examined. The study was conducted through document analysis as one of the most qualitative research methods. To assure the reliability of the study experts were interviewed. According to the results of the study, it was observed that in 2005 Social Studies program the subject of globalization has been more present than in the program applied from 1998 to 2004. Furthermore, when the textbooks related to both of the programs were examined, it was seen that the subjects considered as concerning globalization are under different titles in the textbooks related to1998 program, on the other hand, in the textbooks related to 2005 program the subjects are involved in separate units focusing on globalization. Besides it was found out that in these textbooks, there were many activities regarding globalization. Consequently, it can be stated that in the new primary school Social Studies programs, the fact of globalization is being more emphasized in terms of aim/gain, content and activities than in 1998 program.
