Rıchard Wagner, ‘Siegfried, operasında flütlerin kullanımı

Abstract

Bu makalede Richard Wagner’in “Siegfried” operasında yer alan flütlerin kullanımı ve diğer orkestra çalgıları arasındaki konumu incelenmekte, flüt partileri ile ilgili bilgi verilmektedir. Yazı sırasıyla Siegfried’in bestelendiği dönemin orkestra müziği ve akım özellikleri açıklamakta ve flütlerin eserdeki kullanım alanları müzik edebiyatındaki diğer bazı eserlerle kısaca ilişkilendirilmektedir. “Siegfried” adlı operanın genelinde flüt ve pikolo flütün teknik kullanımının yanı sıra flütlerin kullanım alanlarıyla beraber temsil ettiği karakterler tanımlanmış, perde ve sahne sırasıyla flüt partilerinin işlevi açıklanmış ve edinilen bilgiler ışığında genel bir değerlendirme yapılmıştır. Çalışma genel hatlarıyla eseri seslendirecek icracılara başvuru kaynağı olabilecek nitelikte olmakla beraber verilen örneklemelerle Wagner orkestrasyonu üzerine çalışan akademisyen, öğrenci müzisyen ve ilgili dinleyici kitlesiyle paylaşma olanağı sunmaktadır

In this paper function of the flutes and their usage within orchestra in Wagner’s Opera “Siegfried” is investigated and information about their parts is given. Thoroughout the script, first, the characterstics of the era in which “Siegfried” was composed and the flow it belongs to is mentioned. It is followed by information on some utility aspects of the flutes in the opera that correspond to other literature in the music history. After that, the usage of the flutes as well as the function of their parts is explained in the order of the acts and scenes and at the end, the knowledge gained is evaluated. The target readers of the study are the flutists who will play at the opera “Siegfiried”; scholars and students who work on Wagner’s orchestration. Although the study could be characterized as a reference source for the performers who will perform the work in the general sense, the study offers the opportunity of sharing to the academicians, student musicians and concerned audience working on Wagner orchestration by virtue of the examples provided herein.
