Değişen toplumda eğitim ve öğretmen nitelikleri

Abstract

Bir eğitim sisteminin öğretmen, öğrenci, veli, eğitim programı ve çevre olmak üzere farklı girdileri bulunmaktadır. Bu girdilerin niteliği ise eğitim sisteminin çıktılarını doğrudan etkilemektedir. Bu girdiler içinde öğretmenin önemli bir yeri bulunmaktadır. Çünkü öğretmenler, eğitimin diğer girdilerini de etkileme gücüne sahiptir. Bu yönüyle denilebilir ki bir eğitim sisteminin niteliği öğretmenin niteliği ile özdeştir ve bir eğitim sistemi ancak öğretmenin niteliği kadar hizmet üretebilir. Eğitimin diğer girdileri gibi öğretmen de dünyadaki ve ülkemizdeki toplumsal yaşamda meydana gelen değişmelerden etkilenmekte ve dönüşmektedir. Bu durum, öğretmenlerin gerek kişisel gerekse mesleki niteliklerinin sürekli geliştirilmesini zorunlu kılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada önce değişen toplumda eğitim ve eğitimin girdilerindeki değişmelere değinilmiş, daha sonra değişen toplumda öğretmenin değişen nitelikleri üzerinde durularak öğretmenlerin sahip olması gereken nitelikler açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır.

An education system has various inputs including teachers, students, parents, curricula and environment. The quality of these inputs directly affects the outcomes of the education system. The teacher is an important input. Because, teachers have the power to influence other educational inputs. Thus, it can be suggested that the quality of an education system is identical to the quality of the teachers and an education system can only produce services that are consistent with the quality of the teachers. Similar to other educational inputs, the teacher is also affected and transformed by changes in social life in the world and in Turkey. This necessitates the continuous improvement of teachers' personal and professional qualifications. In the present study, the changes in educational inputs and education are discussed within the context of changing society, and then the qualifications of the teachers in the changing society were addressed and the required qualifications for the teachers in the changing society were scrutinized.
