Increasing the Performance of the Hotels by Considering Their Supply Chain Activities: Evidence from North Cyprus Tourism Sector
Abstract
The main purpose of this article is to analyze supply chain practices of hotels and to reveal effects of such practices on hotels' performance. Supply chain applications comprise relationships of hotels with their suppliers, tourism intermediaries and customers. In order to obtain a sustainable increase in performance, hotel management should understand factors that have higher contribution. This study aims to investigate these factors as sources of superior performance in the competitive market place and to provide insights for directing resources. Performance of hotels is not only examined in terms of financial measures, but also in terms of non-financial measures.
