Observations of the Anomalous Poole-Frenkel Effect in Al–Polyethylene–Al Thin Film Structures
Abstract
Thin film Al–polyethylene—Al sandwich structures are prepared by the thermal deposition of these materials on to glass substrates in a vacuum better than 10-5 Torr. The current–voltage–temperature characteristics of these structures are measured. The observed conduction characteristics obey a relation of the form ln I ~ U1/2 and may be explained in terms of the anomalous Poole-Frenkel effect. Copyright © 1986 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA
