Lifelong learning in Europe
Abstract
In this study, we examined the status of the European Union and Turkey on the basis of the variables within the scope of Lifelong Learning. We used the k-means cluster analysis and the discriminant analysis, which are multivariate statistical techniques, in our study. When we separated our dataset into 4 clusters, we found our success of correct clustering as 97.0%. We saw in our analysis that Denmark, the Netherlands, Iceland and Switzerland had the best positions and constituted the top cluster. While the second best cluster contained countries such as Germany, France, Sweden and Norway, Turkey ranked in the cluster right above the lowest one together with 9 European Countries. The lowest cluster was comprised by 12 European countries
