Comparison of ascorbic and citric acid contents in Rosa canina L. fruits growing in Central Asian region
Abstract
The evaluation of Rosa canina L. fruits and its products have been dependent in part on organic acid contents. In this study, ascorbic and citric acid contents in Rosa canina L. fruits collected from five different regions in Central Asia were investigated, Amounts of acids determined with HPLC method were found to be 0.048-0.1143 g/100g for ascorbic acid, 5.9-7.5 g/100g for citric acid.
