Composition of the essential oil of schinus molle l. Grown in Turkey
Abstract
The water-distilled oils from dried fruits and leaves of Schinus molle grown in Turkey were analyzed by GC/MS. Eighty components were characterized representing 98.2% to 99.8% of the oils. Berry oils contained ?-phellandrene (22.1% and 38.1%), ß-phellandrene (10.4% and 11.8%), limonene (9.6% and 11.6%) and ?-cadinol (5.6% and 7.2%) as major constituents. ?-Phellandrene (45.7%), ß-phellandrene (13.6%) and Hmonene (13.4%) were the main components in the leafoil
