Essential oil of echinophora tenuifolia l. subsp. sibthorpiana (Guss.) tutin

Abstract

The essential oil was obtained by water distillation from the air-dried aerial parts of Echinophora tenuifolia L. subsp. sibthorpiana (Guss.) Tutin. The oil was analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Among the 32 compounds identified, the major components were ?-phellandrene (51.52%), methyl eugenol (17.46%) and p-cymene (14.66%)
