Implications from elementary mathematics teachers' lesson study experience
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to reveal the experiences of lesson study being a model implemented by secondary school mathematics teachers participating in the Professional development project for the first time. Five secondary school mathematics teachers comprise the participants of the study. In the end of the study, acquirements and problems experienced by the teachers while implementing the model were determined. As a result, it can be said that lesson study is a model to be utilized by the teachers for professional development in the perspective of Turkey.
