On the ephemeroptera fauna (Insecta) of thrace (Turkey)

Abstract

2093 Ephemeroptera nymphs from 27 species belonging to 21 genera and 9 families were collected in Thrace (Turkey-in-Europe) between May 1994 and September 1995. Siphlonurus aestivalis (Eaton, 1903), Paraleptophlebia werneri Ulmer, 1919, Epeorus sylvicola (Pictet, 1865) and Ecdyonurus insignis (Eaton, 1870) are here recorded in Turkey for the first time. All species except Oligoneuriella rhenana (Imhoff, 1852) are the first records for the Thrace region
