Soğuk Stresinin Bitkiler Üzerine Etkileri ve Tolerans Mekanizmaları

Abstract

Soğuk stresi, bitkilerin yeryüzündeki dağılımını belirleyen ve gelişimini etkileyerek verim kayıplarına neden olan en önemli çevre faktörlerinden biridir. Soğuk stresi; stresin şiddetine ve süresine, strese maruz kalan bitkinin genotipine ve gelişme dönemine bağlı olarak büyüme ve gelişmeyi olumsuz etkileyebilmektedir. Ancak çeşitli bitkiler, donma derecesinin üzerindeki düşük sıcaklıklara belirli bir süre maruz kaldıklarında oluşan fizyolojik, biyokimyasal ve moleküler değişikler sonucu soğuğa karşı tolerans kazanmaktadırlar.

Cold stress is one of the most important environmental stresses which determines the distribution and causes loss of productivity by influencing the development of plants in the world. It negatively affects plants growth and development depending on the intensity and duration of the stress, genotype and development stage of the plant exposure to the stress. However, various plants acquire cold tolerance with many physiological, biochemical and molecular changes that occur by exposure to a particular period of low, non freezing temperatures.
