Complex quaternionic reformulation of the relativistic elastic collision problem
Abstract
An alternative representational method is proposed for the investigation of relativistic elastic collision. Although using four vectors is a common way to represent relativistic quantities, complex quaternionic representation has some advantages with a simpler and more expressive nature. This study shows that the complex quaternionic approach provides a very convenient and useful tool for the formulation of these types of collisions.
