Comparisons of the Turkish, English, German, French, Russian and Spanish languages for communications of same semantic content
Abstract
The language itself may be regarded as a code for certain conceptual entities. From this point of view, in this study comparisons of the Turkish, English, German, French, Russian and Spanish languages considered as alternate codes which carry the same semantic content are made based on the probability distribution of letters. Consequently, the optimal language in the sense of coding theory is determined by using Shannon's measure for entropy and related interpretations are given.
