The Localization of LPI Signals Using Sparse TDOA Estimates
Abstract
In this paper, the localization problem of the low probability of intercept (LPI) signals using time difference of arrival (TDOA) estimates between the sensors is considered. A fast and sparse method is proposed for the localization of this signals. In this method, the signals received by the sensors in the spatially distributed nodes become sparse and the time delay between the sensors is estimated in frequency domain with the sparse TDOA (S-TDOA) method. Thus, the computational cost and the data sharing rate between the sensors are reduced. It is shown in simulations that the proposed method improves the localization performance according to the localization with the conventional TDOA estimation.
