dc.description.abstract | Kiln furniture technology has a critical and measurable effect on the overall performance of a kiln's firing process and its operating costs. Used for decades, the technology has undergone simple changes on furniture architecture, design and specifications which brought about improvements in ceramic production. In this light, research was conducted to further improve silicon carbide, cordierite, mullite and alumina kiln furniture properties.
