Doğu Türkçesi Metinlerinde Başlangıcından Günümüze Saygı ve Nezaket İfadesi Sorunu

Abstract

Türkçede ikinci teklik şahsa karşı saygı ve nezaket için esasen iki yol kullanılır. Bunlardan ilki ve yaygın biçimi ikinci çokluk şahıs bildiren yapılar; ikincisi ise gerek tarihi gerekse günümüzdeki birtakım Türk lehçelerinde görülen üçüncü çokluk ve nadiren üçüncü teklik şahıs bildiren yapılardır. Bunlardan ikinci çokluk şahıs bildiren yapılar yüz yüze konuşurken, üçüncü çokluk şahıs bildiren yapılar ise hem yüz yüze konuşurken hem de kişiden bahsederken kullanılır. Türkçenin ilk dönemlerinden itibaren bu yapıların gelişim süreci aslında yazılı belgelerden takip edilebilmektedir. Doğu Türkçesinde başlangıcından yakın dönemlere kadar saygı ve nezaket için kullanılan bu yapıların kullanımında kimi tutarsızlıklar söz konusudur. Görüldüğü kadarıyla Doğu Türkçesinde esasen Çağatay Türkçesi döneminde nesir dilinde bu tutarsızlıklar büyük ölçüde halledilmiş; ancak şiir dilinde bu durum farklı saiklerden dolayı yakın zamanlara kadar devam etmiştir.

Virtually there are two ways of showing politeness and veneration to the second person singular in Turkic. One of these is the widespread structures denoting second person plural, and the second is structures denoting third person plural and rarely the third person singular, which are used both in some historical and contemporary Turkic languages. The ones denoting second person plural are used in face to face conversation, whereas the ones denoting third person plural used when talking about someone in addition to face to face conversation. Principally it is possible to track the development process of these structures from the first periods of Turkic through written texts. There had been some inconsistencies in the usage of these structures in Eastern Turkic throughout its history. It is observed that these inconsistencies had been solved in the prose language of Chagatai Turkic, but had held on in poetry until recently as a result of several reasons.
