The composition of the essential oil of stachysiberica subsp. Stenostachya growing in Turkey

Abstract

The water distilled essential oil from dried aerial parts of Slachys iberica subsp. stenoslachya (Lamiaceae) was analyzed by GC/MS. Seventy-one compounds were characterized representing 96% of the oil. The main constituents were found as linalyl acetate (42.2%), linalool (18.9%), gcranyl acetate (8.2%), and a-terpineol (5.3 %).
