Constituents of the essential oil of Achillea biebersteinii Afan.

Abstract

The essential oils obtained by water distillation from aerial parts of Achillea biebersteinii collected from two locations in Turkey were examined by GC and GC/MS. The oil of Ankara origin was rich in piperitone (49.90%). The oil of Erzurum origin contained 1, 8-cineole (29.93%) and camphor (17.35%) as major constituents
