Composition of the essential oil of Calamintha nepeta subsp. glandulosa

Abstract

The water distilled essential oil from the dried aerial parts of Calamintha nepeta (L.) Savi subsp. glandulosa (Req.) P. W. Ball was examined by GC/MS. Forty-five components representing 91.65% of the oil were identified. Piperitenone oxide (43.80%), trans-piperitone oxide (25.23%) and limonene (13.03%) were die main constituents
