Yunan mitosunun aklileştirilmesi bağlamında Yunan tarih yazıcılığı

Abstract

Yunan tarih yazıcılığı ile mitosu arasındaki ilişki bu çalışmanın ana konusunu oluşturmaktadır. Yunan tarih yazıcıları, özellikle de Herodot ve Thukydides, Yunan insanına bütünlüklü bir evren tasavvuru sunmuşlardır ve ana amaçlarından biri de, Yunan dünyasının geleneksel mitoslarında, özellikle de tarihsel nitelikli olanlarında bilinçli bir reform gerçekleştirmek olmuştur. Bu bilinçli reform sürecinde "inandırıcılık" ve "akla uygunluk" başlıca ölçütleri olmuştur. Çalışma bu önemli süreci Yunan aydınlanma döneminin genel kavramları doğrultusunda analiz etmekte ve Yunan tarih yazıcılarının bu sürece katkılarını göstermeyi amaçlamaktadır.

The interaction between Greek historigraphy and the Greek myth is the central issue of this paper. Greek historiographs, especially Herodotos and Thukydides, had presented a complete cosmic envisagement to Greek people and one of their main purpose was a conscious reform in Greek traditional myths, especially history-based myths. In this conscious reform process, their substantial criteria are "plausibility" and "reasonability." The paper analyse this important process from the point of the general concepts of Greek enlightenment period and seems to contributions of Greek historiographs to this process.
