dc.description.abstract | Importance of environmental issues has increased every year and several global summits were held on this subject. As a result, research efforts are focused on environmentally friendly materials, reducing energy usage and emissions. Hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) with superior lubrication is an environmentally friendly material. It’s structure of strong bonds between atoms in layers with weak Van Der Walls bonds between layers gives low friction. Also, hBN is an inorganic artificial material with high heat shock resistance, heat conduction, electrical insulation and chemical stability. These properties makes hBN suitable for various applications.
