Uzaktan Tezsiz Yüksek Lisans Programlarının Tercih Gerekçelerinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı çevrimiçi tezsiz yüksek lisans programlarında öğrenim gören bireylerin programları tercih gerekçelerinin Maslow’un ihtiyaçlar hiyerarşisi aşamalarına göre sınıflamasını yapmaktır. Bu araştırmada betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya altı farklı programda öğrenim gören 115 öğrenci katılmıştır. Araştırmada öğrencilerin çeşitli demografik bilgilerinin ve ilgili programı tercih etme gerekçesinin sorulduğu bir veri toplama aracı kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada öğrenciler tercih gerekçelerini programın çevrimiçi olmasına göre ve öğrenim gördükleri programa göre yanıtlamışlardır. Araştırmaya katılan öğrenciler 163 gerekçe sunmuşlardır. Öğrencilerin öğrenim gördükleri programı tercih gerekçeleri içerisinde ilk sırayı statü kazanma sonra sırasıyla merakını giderme, güvenlik, ait olma ve sevgi ile estetik gerekçe olarak belirlemişlerdir.

The purpose of this research is to classify the reasons for the preference of the participants who are studying in the online non-thesis master's programs according to the Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Descriptive analysis method was used in this research. The research included 115 participants from six different programs. In the research, a scale was used to inquire participants’ demographic information and their reasons for choosing the program. In the research context, the participants explained their reasons for choosing the program according to program's being online and the program they're studying. Participants presented 163 reasons in the research. Among the reasons for participants’ preferences for the program, gaining status was in the highest rank which is followed by curiosity, safety, love/belonging and aesthetic respectively.
