dc.description.abstract | The place of staining which is established in today's cosmetic perception as a creative way for beauty, charm and attraction, had been split the path of the fed formatting of the social necessity of the past. The adventure of staining person who constantly reshapes the area based for needing, initially pointed to similar meanings in the mind and body of every individual in the society. A person who finds self-expression using non-verbal superior language by staining; has created a new source of identity which part of the exhibition of the hierarchical order of society and culture. In this study, the process of staining started with the history and social status effect of staining assessed for social and individual aspect. And then the process is discussed itself from the impact of human traditions and beliefs to the female and male's staining rituals in different cultures and customs. The process of the perception of staining which lead the term of makeup spent up until the present day, referring to the requirements beyond the predictable, the beauty standards imposed by the cosmetic industry and has been referred to the differences arising from individual preferences. Also in this study staining is examined in performing arts in the aspect of the character description in the text and the physical appearance at the performance in order to emphasize the importance of staining. To paint all or certain parts of the body with permanent or temporary matter were examined the changes from, 'visually influence and identity acquisition tool', to 'the purpose of the declaration of individuality'. | en_US |
