Gelişim Geriliği Olan Çocuğa Sahip Ailelerin Sosyo-Ekonomik ve Demografik Özellikleri Arasındaki İlişkiler

Abstract

Gelişim geriliği olan çocuğa sahip ailelerinin sosyo-ekonomik ve demografik özellikleri gelecekteki hizmetlerin planlanmasına önemli bilgiler sağlar. Bu çalışmanın amacı, ailelerin sosyo-ekonomik ve demografik özelliklerinin birbirleriyle olan ilişkilerinin ve farklılıklarının kurumlara göre dağılımını betimlemektir. Veriler, Eskişehir merkezdeki üç resmi özel eğitim kurumundaki 143 aileye uygulanan görüşmeli anket yoluyla toplanmıştır. Sonuçlar, kurumlara göre ailelerin hanede yaşayan kişi sayılarına, hane gelirine, anne-babalarm eğitim yıllarına ve hane tiplerine göre anlamlı farklılıklar olduğunu göstermiştir. Bu farklılıkların ise üniversite birimindeki ailelerin lehine olduğu gözlenmiştir.

Information about socio-economic and demographic characteristics of families of children with developmental retardation provides important information for the future service planning. The aim of this study is to describe the distribution of the correlations and differences of the families between the centers in terms of socio-economic and demographic characteristics. The data were gathered by survey applied to 143 parents in three public special education centers, in Eskişehir city center. The results indicated that there were significant differences among the families in centers with respect to number of family members, family income, parents' educational levels and family types. These differences were observed in favor of the families in the university unit.
