Türkiye'de yurttaş gazeteciliği bağlamında internet haberciliği: Bianet örneğinde kensel dönüşüm projesiyle ilgili haberlerin analizi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, hem alternatif bir gazetecilik pratiği için olanaklar barındırması hem de internet haberciliğine örnek teşkil etmesi bakımından bianet.org adlı haber sitesi yurttaş gazeteciliği bağlamında incelenmektedir. Çalışma kapsamında bianet.org sitesindeki, yurttaş odaklı gazetecilik pratikleri İstanbul’daki kentsel dönüşüm projesi ile ilgili haberler üzerinden ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada bianet.org’da konuyla ilgili yer alan 34 haber söylem analizi kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. İncelenen haberlerin, ağırlıklı olarak kentsel dönüşüm projesinden etkilenen yurttaşların bakış açılarını ve yaşadıkları olumsuzlukları merkeze koyan bir söylem aracılığıyla kurulduğu bulgulanmıştır. Buna koşut olarak haberlerde durum tanımlamaları, akredite nitelikteki kaynaklar yerine mahalle sakinleri ve onlara destek olanların açıklamaları üzerinden kurulmaktadır. Bu bağlamda, söz konusu projenin yurttaşı merkeze koyan bir bakış açısıyla haberleştirildiği, bianet.org internet sitesinin alternatif ve eleştirel bir haber söylemi kurmaya çalıştığı söylenebilmektedir.

In this study, a news web site; namely, bianet.org is examined in the context of civic journalism with regard to both its including potentials for an alternative journalism and its serving as a model for Internet journalism. Within this study, journalism practices focused on citizens on bianet. org are tried to put forward through the news on urban transformation project in Istanbul. In this research, 34 news on bianet.org related to the subject is analyzed by applying discourse analysis. It is discovered that the news examined is framed through a discourse which is predominantly focused on the perspectives of the citizens affected by the urban transformation project and the problems they experienced. Correspondingly, instead of case definitions and accredited resources, the news is constituted through community dwellers and comments of those who support them. In this context, it can be claimed that the so-called project has been turned into news with the perspective putting the citizen at the center, bianet.org web site tries to construct an alternative and critical news discourse.
