Abstract

Fotoğraf günümüzde birçok sanat dalı gibi teknolojik gelişimden ziyadesi ile etkilenmiş ve bunun doğal bir sonucu olarak oldschool tabir edebileceğimiz eski yöntemleri savunan ve dijital fotoğraf makineleri ile çekilerek dijital görüntü işleme uygulamaları ile işlenen çalışmaların fotoğraf olamayacağını iddia eden bir kitlenin de ortaya çıkmasına neden olmuştur. Eskiden görüntünün iki boyutlu ortamda oluşması yani film duyarkatı üzerinde görüntünün belirlenmesi kimyasal bir süreçti. Kimyasal bileşiklere ait atomların ışığa verdikleri tepki ile yansıttığı ışık skalasının değişmesine dayanan kimyasal metodun mantığı, kimya mühendislerinin dışında öyle herkesin anlayabileceği, manipüle edebileceği bir süreç değildi. Oysa görüntülerin sayısallaştırılarak iki boyutlu hale gelmesi durumu artık bilgi çağında bilgisayar teknolojisine meraklı herkesin bolca kaynak ile bilgi edinebileceği bir konu haline gelmiştir. Fotoğraf optik düzeneklerin, ışığa duyarlı kimyasal yüzeylerin ya da ışık sensörlerinin oluşturduğu düzeneklerin üzerinde bir şeydir ve tanımı kullanılan araçlar ile sınırlandırılamaz.

Like the many arts, photography has been influenced by the technological developments at the present day. Naturally, a group of people, called themselves as the old school, have defended still the old techniques in the photography. This group also have claimed that new digital photography was not a real photography. In the past it was a chemical process that the formation of the image in a two-chemical engineerings, a few people can understand this period that is the chemical method based on the changing of the light scale by the reaction of the atoms belonging to the chemical compound against the light. However, tech-sawy persons can easily understand the digitization of the images by using the computer and can get the a lot of knowledge about the photography. Photograph is thing which is on the optic mechanism, or on the photosensitive chemical levels or on the mechanisms forming the light sensors. It cannot be limited its definition by the tools being used.
