Kentin Üniversite Algisi: Anadolu Üniversitesi ve Eskişehir Örnegi

Abstract

Üniversitelerin yerleskelerinin bulunduğu komsu çevreye ve kente katkıları günümüzde idari ve akademik çevrelerce sıkça tartısılan ve çalısılan bir konu olmustur. Üniversite kent etkilesiminde, üniversitenin toplumsal katkı konusuna eğilmesi kadar kentin üniversite algısı da önemli rol oynamaktadır. Bu arastırmada, kentin üniversite algısı, Anadolu Üniversitesi–Eskisehir örneği ile incelenmektedir. Üniversitenin bölgesel fırsat esitliğine katkısı, üniversite öğrencilerinin kente sosyokültürel etkisi ve üniversitenin bütüncül anlamda kente sosyokültürel etkisi, nicel ve nitel yöntemler kullanılarak arastırılmıstır.

The effects of the universities on their neighborhood and city have today become a popular topic for discussion and study in both administrative and academic circles. Along with the university's inclination towards civic engagement, the city's perception of the university also plays a vital role in the university-city interaction. In this study, the city's perception of university is investigated via the case study of Anadolu University and Eskişehir. The university's contribution to regional equality of opportunities, the socio-cultural effects of the university students on the city, and the university's sociocultural effects as a whole on the city are examined by quantitative and qualitative research methods.
