In this study, we introduce the first efforts of economics to be a science by breaking away from philosophy, the Milet school which is the first philosophy school in this context and the Elea school which we can define as the first school of economics. Afterwards, we criticize the efforts of economics to break away from social sciences and the role of neoclassical economics in this way. In the study, historical sources in the related literature were used, and different views and discussions were included. From the beginning of philosophy, evaluations have been made about today's economics, following the footsteps of Xenephon, who used the first word economics and was a member of the Elea school. Subjectivism, Utilitarianism, and Economic value, Positivism, Homoeconomicus, Experimental (Behavioral) economics and Neuroeconomics are among the topics covered.en_US
