dc.description.abstractIn this thesis, developing Gap Analysis process creates opportunities to provide demonstration of compliance to the set of adopted standards the companies perform however currently, this process is used in the most of the industrial or energy companies by the various ways. It is involved many engineering specialists from various disciplines in this process and it is even more complicated when trying to manage a multi discipline standard gap analysis process. To complete review of such a document may take up to a month or more due to availability of people and document circulation between the departments. It is required a very well managed collaboration, planning and performance management in order to complete the process with high quality and ensures that the results are not lost among the bureaucratic chains of verifications and approvals. Experimental results show that we can solve a time consuming by straight through processing and difficulties to manage a process especially when the number of applicable standards or technical practices is over a hundred. This methodology describes the implementation of the Gap Analysis process in a form of a computer database application to incorporate all the main aspects of Gap Analysis process and facilitate automated control over the process.en_US
